Tuckahoe Update 7-12-2017

Last Friday we were celebrating 4th of July with Chris Stacy calling to his good music along with some patriotic tunes. Almost everyone was in their Red, White and Blue as we celebrated Independence Day. We also celebrated July Birthdays and Anniversaries. Lots of birthdays in July!!

This Friday our guest caller is Ken Jordan who always keeps us moving to great calls, music and fun square dancing.

Our next callers for July will be Charlie Shoemaker on July 21st and Jeremy Butler/George Springer on July28th with Early Rounds starting at  7:30pm.

Tuckahoe Squares will be providing refreshments this Saturday, July 15th, for the RSARDA McGeorge Fund Dance. We will also be setting up and breaking down for the dance. I hope most Tuckahoe Square dancers will be there and bring tasty goodies for the dance!!

July 15th – RSARDA McGeorge Fund dance at Pinchbeck Elementary School (new location) at 1275 Gaskins Road with Gene Chamberlain and George Springer.  Square and rounds 8:00 to 10:30.

The McGeorge Fund was established to assist needy families with costs of recreation programs in Henrico County.  The Richmond square dance community offers this dance annually with the entire proceeds going to the McGeorge Fund.  It’s our way of thanking Henrico County for allowing us to use, free of charge, their schools for our dances and classes.  We are very fortunate to have this arrangement.  We thank our caller and cuer for donating their time and hope you will be able to attend this dance.  If you are unable to attend, please keep in mind that RSARDA will still accept and is appreciative of your donations.  Checks should be made payable to Henrico County Dept of Recs and Parks.

Let’s “Load the Boat” with everyone square dancing and enjoying the fun.
