Well, it looks like fall is finally trying to bring us some cooler weather. It sure does feel good. We are blessed that we have had a fair amount of rain in this area. We just got back from Tennessee where they are in the midst of a drought – no rain since early September and over 15 inches below normal in waterfall for the year. Even the waterfalls were moving mighty slow. Let’s keep our neighbors to the South in NC in our thoughts and prayers as they are still facing potential concerns from Hurricane Matthew.
We are pleased to welcome David Staples from NC as our guest caller this Friday, October 14, 2016. David always provides us with an interesting evening of dancing and we never know for sure just what steps he will have us taking. The best way to find out – come out and join us at All Saints Episcopal Church.
Next week, Friday, October 21, 2016, we make welcome another NC caller, Vance McDaniel, who lives just a stone throw from where this week’s caller lives. Maybe it will be warm enough for Vance to travel in is Miata with the top down. We can hope. Whatever his mode of travel or yours, please plan to come out and join us for an evening of dance fun and fellowship.
Our Annual Halloween Costume Ball to be held on October 29, 2016, at Holladay Elementary School. We have Greg Jones as the caller and Christina Eum as the cuer. So plan to dress for Halloween and participate in the costume contest. Who knows what the categories might be this year!!!
Hope to see you on the dance floor.
