Tuckahoe Update 9-22-2016

It is so great to see the rain as the ground was getting awful dry and hard.  You thought you were in the midst of a dust storm if you cut the grass – the grass was so dry.
Well here it is the day before the first day of autumn – where did summer go?
We have the perfect solution to your lost of summer blues – come out and join us for our annual Fish Fry onFriday, September 23, 2016.  Rob Green and Dean Decker has spent many hours catching and cleaning many fish for us to eat.  If you would like to come – please do – just bring a side dish or dessert to share with the other folks.  Fish, both fried and baked, along with hushpuppies will be provided.
Then after filling our tummies with all that good food, plan to stay for the dance as we have Ken Jordan as our guest caller.  It has been quite awhile since Ken called for us and he always does a fantastic job.  Wonder what he has in store for us or perhaps the real question – what do we have in store for him.
Next week, September 30, 2016, we complete the month of September 2016 with Drew Screace as our guest caller.  Drew is well known in the area for his calling and friendliness.  It has been awhile since Drew called for us. so let’s give him a great big “Welcome” back.
Don’t forget Circle 8 Richmond is sponsoring a dance this Saturday, September 24, 2016, with Jeremy Butler calling and Pris Collins cueing.  Early rounds start at 7 p.m. and then squares and rounds from 8-10:30 p.m.
If you would like to see photos of our 50th Anniversary Dance or the Talk Like a Pirate dance – visit the recent events page on our web site.
See you on the dance floor!!!
